Spirit Moving

So much of life happens in secret and silence. Microbiota and insects conduct their unseen work around and within us at all times, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians are glimpsed only occasionally. At the same time, we believe we know our human neighbors, but even those closest to us live the majority of their lives out of our view. These paintings explore the unseen lives of the plants and animals who escape our notice. They are a reminder that even those we believe we understand are so much greater and more mysterious than our human comprehension.
